An
innovative employment focused project
WHAT IS RECRUIT AHEAD?
Recruit Ahead is an employment focus project working with both employers
and candidates. It comprises of a tailor made 1 or 2 day workshop, which
prepares candidates for specific job vacancies with participating employers
leading to a guaranteed job interview and possible employment.
In co-operation with the Employer in question the workshop will present
vital information on the company, the vacancy, selection process, how to
complete the application form, and prepare for the face-to-face interview.
The workshop will also cover soft issues such as employee behaviour,
confidence and motivation building. Each
candidate who completes the workshop will be guaranteed an interview with the
participating employer.

TARGET BENEFICIARY GROUPS

Young people aged 18-24 years in receipt of benefits
·
Short-term unemployed people who require up-skilling
·
Long term unemployed with poor employment history
·
Unemployed people from ethnic minorities and those at risk of falling
into long-term unemployment
·
People at particular risk of becoming long-term unemployed
(off incapacity, lone parents, etc)
HOW CAN WE REFER CLIENTS TO THE RECRUIT AHEAD PROJECT?
Clients can be referred from Job Centre Plus, as individuals, or from
various training providers, community groups, and associations, as long as they
are currently in receipt of benefits, match with the beneficiary groups
specified for the project, and have a ‘skills match’ to the various
employment opportunities on offer.
